New BDVA position paper: “Towards a European Data Sharing Space”
On April 12, 2019 the BDVA has released the Position Paper “Towards a European Data Sharing Space: Enabling data exchange and unlocking AI potential“, which will feed into the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda for a European Artificial Intelligent Public Private Partnership (AI-PPP SRIA).
The objectives of the Position Paper are:
- to support the dialogue among European and national policy makers, industry, research, public sector and civil society in the definition of a common roadmap for the development and adoption of a pan-European Data Sharing Space;
- to guide public and private investments in this area in the next Multiannual Financial Framework.
Apart from highlighting opportunities, technical and non-technical challenges, the paper also includes a list of recommendations for the successful development, implementation and adoption of a European Data Sharing Space. A new version of the paper will be released at the end of 2019, including feedback from other PPPs and linked projects.
